There are castles, roads, grasslands and monasteries in the pieced-together territory. As the rounds progress, the territory will gradually expand. Players are like kings or princes in medieval times, sending their men to expand territories. Their men can serve as knights, robbers, farmers or monks to build, manage or occupy castles, roads, grasslands and monasteries. Every time a piece of board is put together, players have the opportunity to send their men to play a role.
