Villain attacks will increase the Vengeance Marker on Dex, boosting his base attack power.

Once your attack power is enhanced, you can make your unfortunate enemies pay for their crimes, intimidate villains to make them submit and stop their evil deeds, and even "leap with your blade" to charge into the battlefield and defeat the most powerful enemies.

When Dex is wounded in a long battle, he turns back into his mortal form, calms his inner rage, and heals a great deal of damage.
