All expansions can be used together to create your own Carcassonne experience!
"Carcassonne Big Box Edition" invites you to explore the vast world of Carcassonne!
The big box version includes the basic version and 11 expansions:
-
【Basic Edition】Quickly enter the world of Carcassonne through the Basic Edition! There are castles, roads, grasslands and monasteries on the patchwork map. Players are like kings in the medieval era, sending their men to serve as knights, robbers, farmers or monks to get the highest score! When you find a great scoring opportunity, do you still have people available to help you score the points?
-
[Main Church and Restaurant] Castles and roads are now more valuable, but if they are not completed at the end of the game, they will not bring any points! Bosses make it easier for you to seize other people's territory and maintain your own majority advantage.
-
[Piggy and Architect Expansion] Merchants engage in fierce business competition to obtain goods by completing castles; Architect allows players to complete two rounds in a row to speed up the construction of castles and roads; Piggy makes the grassland more valuable.
-
[Abbot] In addition to the monastery, the garden is the place where the abbot lingers most often. The scoring method of the garden is the same as that of the monastery. The special thing is that you don’t need to wait until all the nine squares are filled to score!
-
[River] 12 rivers have replaced the original starting map. At the beginning of the game, they meander on the green grassland, adding a new look to the landscape.
-
[Aircraft] Soaring into the sky and spreading its wings to high altitudes are the eternal dreams of mankind. Now, your men can finally fly to the blue sky, but you don’t know where they will end up...
-
[Imperial Edict] The king sent messengers on fast horses to bring rich gifts from the emperor to his men who were opening up new territories.
-
[Ferryman] Although roads are criss-crossing Carcassonne, the ferryman on the lake makes the connections between the roads more ever-changing and allows the robbers to face new challenges!
-
【Gold Mine】A gold mine was discovered! People immediately fell into a gold rush frenzy, scrambling for these shiny metals, even if their value had to wait until the end of the game to reveal...
-
[Mage and Witch] The mysterious magic envoy came to Carcassonne. The wizard's presence inspired the local residents, but the witch denigrated their achievements.
-
【Bandits】Bandits are roaming around in Carcassonne! It's best to stay away from them because, every time someone scores, they're going to take the shot...
-
[Crop Circles] Mysterious crop circles appear on the grass in Carcassonne. They emit mysterious power and affect nearby knights, robbers and farmers.
Carcassonne 3.0 only adjusts the art design style of the outer packaging and instructions. Other than that, there is no other difference from Carcassonne 2.0.
Carcassonne 3.0 and 2.0 have the same art design and are compatible for play; they include river expansion and abbey expansion, allowing you to have more fun!
★What is Carcassonne 3.0?
The game rules of Carcassonne 3.0 are the same as those of Carcassonne 2.0 and Carcassonne 1.0. Only the cover art and manual design are different from the previous two. To distinguish it, it is named Carcassonne 3.0.
★Can Carcassonne 3.0 be mixed with other versions?
The game sections of Carcassonne 3.0 and Carcassonne 2.0 are the same, and both are compatible for play!
However, unlike the art design of Carcassonne 1.0, the route joints on the tiles may not fit perfectly when combined. If you mind, it is not recommended to mix them. Some only add rules or expand independent terrain tiles, which will have little impact on the game. (For example: Carcassonne maze expansion, German cathedral expansion)
