【About KeyForge】
KeyForge is a new concept two-player card battle game. This game was created by Richard Garfield, the designer of the famous card battle game "Magic: The Gathering". The main concept is that each deck of cards Groups are all unique (Unique Deck Game).
Due to the characteristics of its unique deck (each deck is independent and unique), players do not need to spend money to build a stronger deck, but need to make good use of the deck in hand to create combo effects, or Choose which force to use in the current situation. This makes the game suitable for players of all levels, from novice board game and card players to experienced card players who can compete together.
【Rules Overview】
The player's goal is to collect amber during the game. If you collect 6 ambers, you can forge a key. The first player to forge 3 keys is the winner. There are a total of seven forces in the game, and each deck will be composed of three random forces. Each round, players must choose to use one of their three forces, and can only use the cards of that force in that round. There is no need to pay any fees or considerations when playing cards. Players can then play cards, attack, harvest amber, or use the card's abilities. At the end of the round, the player fills up his hand with 6 cards, and then another player takes his turn.
【Highlights of this Season】
New force: business group
The Merchant Group (Ekwidon) is a huge network of merchants who are keen on conducting transactions and various investments throughout the Crucible. They are masters of cleverly gaining an advantage in any situation. The traces of business groups can be found throughout the entire Forge Secret Realm. They work as diplomats, arbitrators, merchants and even artists. Absorbing and inspiring countless cultures, welcoming talents of all species and backgrounds into their ranks.
Tokens
A major feature of "The Wind Rises" is the "derivative creature" mechanism. Each deck will have a designed derivative creature card. All "derivative creatures" generated by card effects in the deck will use this derivative creature card as a template. When a creature token is spawned, take the top card of your deck and put it "face down" on the battlefield, just like a normal creature. However, the difference from ordinary creatures is that token creatures are represented by card backs, so there will only be one kind of token creature in each deck (because the card backs of the same deck are the same). If you want to refer to the token's values or effects, you can look at the attached creature card.
